Commuting in a Snow Storm

It has been cold and snowy the last few days with the overnight temps in the single digits. Today, was about 29f and a solid two inches of snow already on the ground with more falling every minute. Awesome riding conditions!

As usual in heavy snow, I took the long scenic route, so I could have most of the roads to myself. The ride was very enjoyable.

The camera caught me during a quick glance to admire the snow in the park.

    1. Yes, with a couple inches of snow, 2wd is very handy. I use 2wd in loose conditions like this. Of course, then I have to avoid clean road or stop and switch back to 1wd

  3. Oh wow, you're lucky to have such a beautiful scenic route to take. I have so much fun riding in weather like this, but I only have to tackle 2 streets after leaving my house until I reach the heavily salted roads that are just wet and slushy...

    1. Thanks Lizzie. You can always head the wrong way for a bit before going right to work. Then you'd have more time for fun snow riding. I do that often
