Your skills and proper gear probably were a life saver that day. So glad you are ok except for some bruises.

The only thing that irritates me that you hadn't been taken to hospital in order to get x-rays right away, just to make sure nothing's broken.

Wishing you a quick recovery.SonjaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12389245948579828531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1204440107409695969.post-86399528968031709882019-05-29T20:33:57.063-05:002019-05-29T20:33:57.063-05:00Scary story and I'm very glad to hear you came...Scary story and I'm very glad to hear you came out as you did. I've been riding 40 years and the attention of vehicle drivers has declined significantly over the last several years. Very upsetting to the motorcyclers, I'm sure all across the country. My wife and I started wearing helmets about 6 years ago, otherwise it was optional before. We usually wore leather jackets, but not every ride. Thanks for sharing. I still want to ride, take some long distance trips, so I'll definitely look into upgrading gear. Thankful you're still with us!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00944067050690723245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1204440107409695969.post-59392045399882156752019-05-29T00:50:16.343-05:002019-05-29T00:50:16.343-05:00Glad you're ok and the gear worked! I’m glad to hear that you are basically okay and survived the recklessness of others. I don’t think I would of had your patience with the patrolman. Many people have told me that I needed to get a dash cam to provide “proof” of what happens as they’ve run into troopers and police that don’t believe them. The gear really does make a difference and I’ve seen the vests at the last BMW rally I went to. It looks like a great thing to have. I hope you recover quickly and that this incident doesn’t ruin any plans you have for the summer. I hope others see the value in proper riding gear. I must admit that I often opt for less riding gear during the summer. This should be a wake up call to me.
